COURSE OBJECTIVES
✔ To prepare the residents ready for safe practice of laparoscopic surgery.

TR1 - Intensive course in Laparoscopic SUTURING (TR1 - Basic Course)
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course each student should be able to:
✔ Safety introduce and pick up a 3/8ths curved needle in an appropriate position to make a bite through tissue
✔ Handle the needle to quickly adjust to desired angles
✔ Pass a needle and suture through tissues at suitable depth, angle, and distance for interrupted and continuous suturing
✔ Tie a safe laparoscopic Surgeon's knot
✔ Create a laparoscopic tumbled square knot
✔ Demonstrate continuous suturing, maintaining tension and completing the suture line safely
✔ Be able to apply the techniques to various clinical situateions, such as bariatric surgery, hepato pancreasbiliary surgery, or colorectal surgery

TR1 – FLEXIBLE ENDOSCOPY for Surgeons - Taiwan Chapter (TR1 - Basic Course)
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The educational objective of this University Diploma is to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of flexible endoscopic surgery to improve care management of patients subject to complications in gastrointestinal or hepatobiliary surgery or requiring postoperative endoscopic treatment.
EDUCATIONAL METHODS
The course is designed to provide an educational program in surgical endoscopy, through sequential steps including both theoretical and practical training. Its curriculum is organized over one academic year in 4 progressive learning modules. The exam takes place at the end of the course. Each module is evaluated through a multiple choice questionnaire for the theoretical part and with a training supervisor for the practical part allowing access to the next module, meeting the module deadlines.
